PhD, MPhil, MRes, BSc Hons OT
Denise is a consultant occupational therapist, researcher, publisher, and educator with over 20 years of field experience of assessing and treating clients across the NHS, Social Services, and private sector companies.
Denise has extensive experience covering a range of services: community rehabilitation, rapid response, falls, housing, palliative and end of life care and case management; this involved assessing and treating clients in their own homes based on their needs ranging from major trauma, orthopedics, acquired brain injury, amputee, chronic pain, progressive neurological diseases, and terminal illness.
Denise uses her clinical reasoning skills to provide comprehensive assessments and reports to support her decision making for the client’s future needs. Her knowledge and skills in rehabilitation give her a comprehensive understanding of a client’s potential for recovery and enables her to identify specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timebound rehabilitation goals.
Denise says: “I understand that there is more to a person than their diagnosis, my aim is to understand what is important to them, and to work together to achieve a quality of life”.
On her days off work, Denise enjoys playing golf, reading, writing, and spending time with her expanding family.
