Social Events

We believe that joining in with everyday activities and social events improves wellbeing.

We understand that after an acquired brain injury, clients can struggle with emotional anxiety and fear around participating in social activities. Perhaps the social activities they used to enjoy now present a challenge. We work closely with our clients to break the barriers to their participation in social activities and events.

“Ryan Price and his team at Heads Up Therapies are always an excellent addition to any brain injury rehabilitation package.

Heads Up occupational therapists are always knowledgeable, creative and approachable. At Heads Up Therapies they clearly put clients first, whoever the client is and no matter what the challenges are.

You can rest assured that clients will be listened to and put firmly at the centre stage of a rehabilitation plan that is always in the community, always relevant, always meaningful and sometimes surprising.

Be prepared to see your client playing football, being a DJ or working on a conservation activity! Behind the scenes, Heads Up Therapies will have found what makes your client tick, understood what they need, sourced and risk assessed the activity and then worked with the client to learn from the experience.

The positive results speak for themselves. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Heads Up Therapies service.”

“Heads Up Therapies provide OT services for a number of our clients with acquired brain injuries. I have worked alongside Ryan and Matt for a number of years. They are extremely creative and person-centred in the way they approach OT input. They have a great ability to engage clients with their goals and develop independence. Heads Up Therapies also provide a range of social activities that are fun and inclusive for all.

Ryan and the team at Heads Up Therapies, are a pro-active and client-focused team, looking at fun functional and active approaches to rehabilitation, which fit with each client and their needs and interests. Where there are unmet needs, the team will seek to develop opportunities in the community, including providing spaces for peer support and interaction.
