Heads Up Therapies Basketball Group

Our acquired brain injury basketball group offers a fast-paced, engaging weekly session that supports rehabilitation through skill-based activity and shared participation.

Basketball places specific demands on coordination, visual processing, and decision-making, making it a highly effective activity for supporting cognitive and motor recovery. Sessions focus on ball handling, shooting, passing, and movement, providing repeated opportunities to practise timing, accuracy, and bilateral coordination in a structured yet enjoyable group setting.

The group environment supports social interaction and shared problem-solving, helping participants build confidence, develop trust in their abilities, and reconnect with enjoyable physical activity. The pace and variety of basketball tasks help sustain attention and motivation, encouraging active participation throughout the session.
