Occupational Therapy Assistant
Matt is an Occupational Therapy Assistant. His background is mainly in sport and coaching, however, he always wanted to help people make positive changes in their lives, so he made the decision to complete a psychology degree. This gave Matt a deeper understanding of how human behaviour works, alongside cognitive and emotional challenges that can accompany life-changing injuries. Gaining this perspective allows him to support clients as they rebuild their skills, confidence, and independence.
Matt says,
"I am excited to learn as much as possible about acquired brain injuries and the individual needs of each client to ensure that they are given the support they need. Outside of work, I am passionate about staying active. I enjoy playing and watching football, running, and taking long walks with my dog, Ellie. These activities keep me grounded and promote health and wellbeing, which I believe to be hugely important to live a happy and enjoyable life."
