Matt is qualified Occupational Therapist working with adults with acquired brain injuries. He support individuals in rebuilding their independence, routines, and confidence after injury, helping them re-engage with what matters most to them.
With a calm, patient, and positive demeanour, he excels at quickly establishing strong therapeutic relationships and working closely with clients to create and deliver tailored treatment plans based on goals. He focuses on a personalised, client-centred approach, always putting his clients first and passionately supporting them to reach their highest potential. He is confident in conducting assessments and consistently diligent in preparing assessment reports promptly, with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Matt's professional background spans forensic and mental health services, including work with offenders in prison and community settings and with young people in residential care facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. This diverse experience has given him a deep understanding of complex needs and the importance of adaptable, person-centred care.
Matt says, "I am passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers to independence, using a practical, goal-oriented approach rooted in empathy and evidence-based practice.
For me, occupational therapy is about enabling people to rediscover their sense of purpose, capability, and choice in everyday life.
My hobbies include practicing Muay Thai boxing, weight training at my local gym, and listening to music. I also enjoy spending time socialising with friends and family and being outgoing has helped me build and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships."
