Matt qualified as an occupational therapist in 2013. He has since gained invaluable experience of working with clients across the NHS, local authorities and the private sector.

Matt is highly experienced in assessing life changing illness and injuries and understands the progression of long-term conditions. Matt works with adults of all ages and has experience of assessing and treating a range of complex conditions including but not limited to acquired brain injury, progressive neurological diseases, orthopaedic conditions, multi-trauma and spinal injuries.

Matt effectively uses his clinical skills to provide comprehensive assessments and reports, giving clear clinical reasoning to ensure his decision making is backed by evidence. His knowledge and work experience in rehabilitation gives him a comprehensive understanding of a client’s potential of recovery and enables him to identify suitable rehabilitation goals.

Matt is an invited speaker at The University of Cumbria where he is involved with assessing undergraduate students and delivering presentations. He has also presented a research poster at the annual Royal College of Occupational Therapists conference.

Matt says: “I put my clients at the heart of my work and I am passionate about supporting them to live their lives to the best of their abilities.”

In his spare time Matt enjoys playing badminton for his local team, listening to music, attending the gym and looking after Cooper – his Miniature Dachshund puppy.
